For me, there's nothing that speaks more to seasonal cooking than fresh fava beans. They are a little bit of a pain, but they're absolutely worth it. They're in season now, so go get them at your local farmer's market and try some of these great recipes. My friend Ana made a great fava bean crostini the other night that I'm still thinking about.
